Parsonage
Located within the market town of Ringwood, the property sits on Parsonage Barn Lane which traditionally linked the areas north and south of the town centre. Whilst truncated in the 1970's by the new A31 bypass, the road still forms a prominent arterial link within the town.
No 96 was a typical New Forest detached property of 1.5 storeys in scale, effectively square in plan with a symmetrical gabled appearance. However, common with the numerous examples within the town, the property was compromised in terms of space and volume and consequently rather compartmentalised in its layout.
Our proposals sought to expand the property by creating a 1.5 storey link between the main structure and the (then) detached garage. This extension then enabling increase and improvement to the accommodation on both levels introducing a master suite to the first floow and large open family space and study/den to the ground level - all spaces viewing and relating to the expansive rear garden.
