Horton
The project at Horton Heath, Wimborne comprised the replacement of the existing dwelling with a new detached family home fit for the 21st century. The existing property was attached to its neighbour, but had been left in neglect for many years until its recent change of ownership.

The RiB ARCHITECTURE proposals sought to take down the existing - in so doing, making the neighbour a detached property in its own right. Simple in form and nature, the primary objective was to match the existing scale and feel due to its prominent location at the intersection of 2 local routes across the heath.

Despiite this overiding aim, a sense of drama and added scale was introduced to the rear projection where the vaulted interior accommodates the main Family Areas and enjoys view of the rear gardens and countryside beyond.
