Field Place
The new home of a family member, FIELD PLACE is a mid 20th century detached dwelling positioned on the boundaries of the New Forest National Park. Whilst already a substantial property, the priority on this project was to bring order and quality to the original which had been subject to poorly considered previous extensions in the 70's and 80's.
This was to be achieved via internal re-modelling and selective extensions at both ground floor and first floor levels. Our proposals focussed on a new double height atrium void to the garden elevation - exploiting the views over the extensive contoured gardens and woodland - long with a new first floor Master Suite with walk out terrace; chieved by opening up all permissible additional volume within the roofscape under NFNPA policy guidance.
Positive approaches from Architect and Planners led to realising the client aspirations and transforming the then neglected property into a contemporary family home suitable for 21st century living, including potential for extended living.
